Programs:

~4-H Youth Development: 4-H provides education and life skill development opportunities for youth 9-18 (based on county Clover Bud activities are for youth ages 5-8)

~Agriculture and Natural Resources: provides education, training, and technical assistance to individuals and businesses concerned with profitable agriculture.

~Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS): focus on well-being, covering everything from human development, parenting, financial literacy, nutrition, health, and leadership

~Horticulture: technical services include soil testing ( $8 per sample), Lead testing ($22 per sample), disease diagnosis, and plant, weed, and insect identification, Master Gardener class-call 502-569-2344

**Bring two cups of dry soil per sample to the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension for testing**

~Community & Economic Development: programs that provide opportunities for communities to become engaged in CED work {Resources and Programs: Business Retention & Expansion, First Impressions, First Impressions, SizeUp Kentucky, Community Assessments}

~Kentucky Nutrition Education Program (KYNEP): Targets low-income families and individuals with nutrition education. Use to educate limited resource families with young children and SNAP eligible individuals to plan nutritious meals on a limited budget, acquire safe food handling practices, improve food preparation skills and change behavior necessary to have a healthy lifestyle.
