Community Ministries of Walnut Street Baptist Church serves as a vital emergency resource hub in downtown Louisville. They provide essential food, clothing, and infant resources to individuals and families, ensuring basic needs are met with dignity and care through a volunteer-led mission.

Dare to Care Food Pantry: Operates a choice-based pantry providing USDA Commodities and Dare to Care supplies. Neighbors can receive full food supplies once per calendar month.

Weekly Produce Distribution: Distributes fresh produce provided by Dare to Care every Wednesday morning to ensure consistent access to healthy food.

Infant Resource Ministry: Provides critical items for families with young children, including diapers, formula, and other baby essentials.

Clothing & Household Goods: Offers a dedicated clothing ministry and access to personal or household items for those in need.

Employment Resources: Maintains job boards and provides connections to local employment opportunities and senior adult resources.

Qualifiers & How to Apply

◈ Eligibility: Services are available to individuals and families who meet federal government income guidelines.

◈ Requirements: Applicants should be prepared to provide a photo ID and proof of residency/income for certain programs.

◈ Application Process: * Food Pantry Hours: Monday and Thursday (10:00 AM – 12:45 PM) and Wednesday evening (4:30 PM – 6:45 PM).

Produce Distribution: Every Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM.
